Old blue is up and running thanks to my amazing son-in-law Mike. Garrett drug old blue up to the new corrals in Aug of 2006 after the SG city police kept putting their lovely orange stickers on him. One policeman even came to my door and said, Mam that truck has been parked in the same spot for 24 hours," I said, "Sir, that truck has been parked there for the last 13 years!" So up to the corral he went, I have been trying for the last 4 years to get someone, anyone to help me take him inside the big barn/building. That's when Mike took on the job of dragging him in and then he decided to get him running.
Mike and Megan surprised me yesterday by bringing 'ol blue to Julie's house, of course the tears started rolling after I saw my "surprise" outside. Then we went for a much needed drive around the block just 'ol blue and me, remembering the times when I would watch for and a certain blond headed cowboy to come and pick me up so we could "check on the cows" in Pine Valley and Grass Valley on a Sunday afternoon. (not many guys these days use that line)
The cowboy is gone, the memories remain and 'ol blue is back---thanks Mike you're the BEST!!!!
