I THINK DOROTHY WAS ON DRUGS!!

When Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz said "there's no place like home Toto" I'm pretty sure she didn't mean Syracuse, KS. That is where my sister Emmalyn has been spending 5 months of the year for the last 4 years and now she has MOVED there. The move was pretty sudden and quite emotional for everyone so we(okay me) decided that we should pay her a visit. I went online and found some pretty amazing tickets so I called my mom and sisters and we decided to go.

Now mind you I'm not a big city girl but PLEASE at least give me a Target or Walmart-not so. In the town of Syracuse where I spent 4 days there are 3 gas stations, 1 supermarket, 1 variety store, 1 quilt store, 1 movie theater (that has one showing on Saturday), 1 beauty shop, a bunch of farm stores so after one hour of seeing everything what do you do for the next 3 days? Well you go to the next town!!

Things I learned while on my trip to Kansas:
My sister is a saint for living there
My mom can't walk as fast as I can
Sleeping with Dorene isn't really that much fun
Kansas is flat
The people are REALLY nice
There are a lot more cowboys in wranglers than SG (not that I noticed)

Thanks for the trip family it was fun, entertaining and I really did enjoy it.
