One of the reasons I started this whole project is the monster on the left. This little guy used to sit right below my bedroom window and it sounded like a jet leaving McCarren Airport when it kicked on at night. I had the compressor replaced a few years ago and I told the guy I just wanted something QUIET, not so it was horrible. He came back a few times to check on it and said that everything was fine. So my intent was to move him (not the a/c guy the unit) somewhere else but before I did that I called the A/C guy back to check because it started sounding way worse. Come to find out it had a defective compressor AND motor!!! What the H_____!!!!!! That's what I'd tried to tell him for years, it got so bad that the oil and leaked out of the motor housing and that was causing the noise. Now here's my question WHY do they think women don't know what they're talking about? SERIOUSLY!!! The compressor and motor were under warranty but I had to pay $700 for labor and freon. Does that make sense to anyone? It doesn't to me. So he is moved (the unit) and has a new little okay big buddy.My kids ALWAYS complained that our house was so HOT!!! Here again learned something new....your dad's fault....the old unit was NOT big enough for the square footage of our house to begin with that's why we could never cool it down, and because of that and the new addition had to buy the bigger unit. Of course the house will still be HOT because I won't turn it on but we'll be ready just in case..........
p.s. why didn't they make them even.....BUGS ME....and I'm sure they will be fixed soon!!

you crack me up. those uneven a/c's will bug you until your eyes get bad enough for them to look the same size/
This makes me laugh coming from someone who never has there thermostat below 80 degrees. When you were talking an addition, I really didn't realize it was an entire house makeover. Wow! Looks fun!
