ROCK ENTRY

The rock is looking amazing, there is still a little left to do between the windows with some small pieces but we are getting so close to not having enough that Jason will save that for last. He is working on the sides of the garage today so this morning I asked him about putting my house number on one of the rocks (I've never had a number on my house in the last 23 years)and he said he will choose one and then I'll find someone to sandblast it for me. We had a little problem with the mortar, he chose black, now look at my posts and isn't everything BROWN!!! There is no way I could live with that, good thing he did a sample first, and I want the mortar hidden not out to the edge of the rock, if I had my way I wouldn't even use mortar and leave it like this but then I would be picking up rocks and glue gunning them back in a few years. So I took myself out to SunRoc and got a sample (not a $100 bag like he did) of dark brown to see how that looks and if it's ugly then I'll go get another sample....Isn't that why they make sample boxes???
And did you see the new door? Good news/bad news I LOVE the door but the window was broken when it was shipped so now we can't paint the door until the new window comes in which will take about 5 weeks....good thing I have a lot of patience.
