So here is my wood floor saga...brace yourself. I decided to get 4 bids for my wood floor (mistake) the difference between the highest and lowest was $4,000.00 so there's the first problem. I had met with three of the installers and Reno had met with one (the lowest) so I said to him "are we comparing apples to apples" and he assured me that we were. I was leary because I had never heard of this company but I found out that he does work for my friend, Joni Christensen, and she thinks he's amazing so I decided why not!!! After my tile bid came back ridiculously huge I decided to put wood floor in my laundry room...I know...but a lot of people do. So I met with Randy (the wood floor guy) to give me a bid on the laundry room and I told him how I wanted to have it all match and not have a patchwork look. Well he didn't know that he was suppose to resand and restain my entry way and den....what the heck!!! How was he going to blend all that in???? So then the bid went up but I decided to stay with him anyway and then we added the wood in the laundry room...okay now his bid was just like the other two...so okay. Well second problem yesterday I was talking to him and told him that I would be taking out the book cases in the family room so the wood would go under them....he said, "I didn't know we were doing that room too?" Are ya kidding me...lesson learned!!!! So today I am meeting with the tile contractor and we are going over every stinkin little detail!!!!!
